Sorry for asking, but I can't perform a search and the link in the noob section doesn't work.

Are there any instructional threads on building a cheap forge? I watched the dvd from greenpete in the uk and it doesn't get any cheaper than his but I'd like something a little more controllable.

What are you guys using for home built forge setups?

I've built a charcoal forge out of a pile of hard firebricks with a pipe tueyre. It has worked well for heat treating 1080, but you really have to put the fuel to it to get it to a good forging heat.

I already have my brake drum/rotor from the junkyard for $3.00. I have others but they also had a rr spike for $.25.
