Home from the ESEE fest

campout was great, but even so - waking up today to temps 20-30 degrees cooler than the previous 4 days was a welcome change!
It was good seeing folks again and meeting the new ones.
looking forward to march - or sooner if there are folks who would like to try a mid-winter one a bit more central?

I agree, I had a great time as well - and would have loved it if that cold front had come a day earlier instead of during my drive home!

If you were to organize a gathering a little farther North I think I could make it, but I understand that it would be harder for Shotty's with their 3 young ones to travel that far -- obviously I can't speak for them!

But camping in the snow,,,.... that I might have a REAL HARD time with, unless you had a LOT of fatwood! :D

Then again, if that lady could manage to go kayaking with only one usable arm (not to mention getting it tied on top of the car with one arm!) perhaps I could stand to be challenged a bit more myself.

Too bad TTD couldn't make it this weekend also.

Ok are we talking "fatwood" or "fat wood?" Lol

I'd have to see what we could do. The kids would be out bc of the cold. I wouldn't bring them.

LOL I seriously debated the need to stick "one word!" after typing it :)

At least no one has mentioned a certain pipe :D .

Another Great State to Hunt Hogs... Im stationed in OK.. and i greatly miss any state that serves sweet tea..

The hogs are pretty ripe in the area that we were camping in. Every morning you wake up to new rooting marks around your campsite.

There's no limit either.:D

Looks like y'all had a grate time. I wish we could have made it down there, next time one is within driving distance I'm definitely going. Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Are you in Lawton? That's where I got stuck
I thought of fort sill as well... I wasn't a fan of the towns around there.
Particularly lawton. Wichita falls was ok, kinda far though.
Anyways, it looks like you all had a good time, wish I had the time right now to do stuff like this more often.

I think the Mr and I are the only ones that have been at all of them. I would not miss them for anything! It's like a family reunion, but I actually LIKE everyone that's there. :D

She says since I haven't been to one :D
But you can make the next one! Missouri isn't that far! 1066vik even came from Kansas with his wife, about an 11 hour drive!

And don't worry, CricketDave usually wan't walking around in just his ESEE panties! (He did wear the coconut bra after all.) But the bra was shared by many guys - you cut yourself, you get to wear the bra of shame!

CricketDave's daughter mentioned how her teachers at school are scared of her dad - maybe they've seen his photos on the forum! :D
