Home Gym Systems

I read once that the guy who had the world record for push ups was some guy in prison doing life.
He was too mean to be let out expt for showers so all he ever did was push-ups and more push ups until he turned from a weedy guy into some giant monster so the guards wouldnt even let him out for showers....
Dont know if its true, but a good story.

You're probably thinking of Charles Bronson, who is incarcerated in England. I have his book Solitary Fitness. It is pretty good but his routines are time intensive. I worked my way completely through the 30 day routine outlined in his book. I suspect that not many people get through the 30 days, as it can take hours a day. It works well if you're in solitary confinement like Bronson though. It also has some good exercise ideas, as well as a few more bizarre chapters I won't go into here.

Their usual fees are $250 to join and $50 a month unless you sign up for 2 years, then it's only $40 a month. It's now $99 to join and $25 a month for both Karen and me. We will be taking advantage of this opportunity especially since LA Fitness is the premier gym on my side of the valley.

I'm thrilled.........can you tell.

Best of luck at the gym, Gin. They make their money on long-term contracts, because very few people go for long. It's in their interest to sign people up for long terms. Tell us in 2 years if you got your money's worth.

sweet. If you do exercise consistently, it's not just money spent, it's money invested. It's your job to make to make the most of every dollar they take from you. this is way better than a home gym. the elliptical machines are great for your heart. i don't know if you should do dips and pullups seein as your old trainer always put you on machines. very few do dips correctly. In my book, though, the most basic building blocks of fitness are the pullup and the squat. Essential.
