I have to apologize for the denizens of the general forum ... they're not used to this kind of question....

If you run a quick search of the Practical Tactical forum here at this website you'll find plenty of answers to your question.

Whoops!
Shoulda done my homework, he really IS a kid.
My apology and I retract the "troll" comment.

However, young Hedge Trimmer, a bit of advice.
If you want to be taken seriously, you're going to have to approach posting in a more serious manner.

As to knives or other improvised weapons for school, let me say, (and I think I can probably speak for "the management" here)
NO!
Forget about it, if you want to break the law, no one here can stop you, but don't expect us to help you or implicate ourselves by teaching you how.

I know I am from a different generation but:

... my mommy would prefer that I get a nice knife rather than bolting a nasty bench grinder to her dinning room table...and if I could afford a bench grinder I would be able to get a really cool/hot/groovy (whatever) knife...

Ken,

I'm not sure you are right. He might be a kid at heart, but how many sub-18 year-olds that you know which have their own registered domain?

Here's info on that domain:

<font face="Verdana, Arial" size="2">This is the information provided by whois.nic.uk that details who currently owns the domain:
timuk.co.uk

Phew! That was close - I was going to buy a SEAL knife 2000, but you know, now I think about it, I'll just snap a jigsaw blade instead...

If you look at the bottom of his website it says to e-mail him at tim@timbryden.co.uk which leads me to think his daddy (Richard) registered the domain name for him. That said, it's pretty frickin' cheap & easy to get a domain name now. Looking at the "real" domain the URL is pointed to ( http://www.btinternet.com/~rdebryden ) suggests that you can mail the account owner at rdebryden@btinternet.com which I'd assume would go straight to his father.

Anyway I think he is just a kid, so I assume he's just trying to be clever or funny or something!

How'd he get a picture of my room?

Ok, on a slightly more serious note. Tim - I was untill recently, a minor. I understand that i can be a frustrating period of your life, and is fraught with many dangers. Making knives out of hacksaw blades is bad for everyone. It hurts the person you hurt with it, it hurts legitimate knife users, and most of all, it hurts you. Do you really want to go through life with a police record? You could end up being convicted of a serious crime, not to mention being kicked out of school and spending time in juvenile prison (depending on what you do with the blade).

Leave your knives at home unless they are legally allowed.

Come back when you are mature enough to join in responsibly (This does not neccessarily mean once you are an adult).

Goodbye.

If there is one positive development here, it is that this trolling has raised awareness of one of the funniest sites on the Web:

Crude, yes. Somewhat profane, definitely. But frigging hilarious.
