• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

How many of you make your own micarta? I've got an old pair of knockoff carhart pants that I cut into strips and I'm going to make Black and Tan handles for my bk24. I dyed some of the strips black with rit dye and the others I left the natural khaki color. I did a test peice at work Friday but I forgot to bring it home. I'm thinking about making it into a guitar pick. My wife says I have no life. :)

There are lots of videos on YouTube that show how to do it. Ill take some pictures and post a build along when I do mine

You can buy a press that makes guitae picks out of expired credit/debit/loyalty/store cards, neat little press.
Good idea about making the left-over and test pieces into guitar picks

Hey Steve, I've got one of those pick punches. My brother gave me one for Christmas. :) the only problem is I like to use thicker picks than what it will punch. 1.5 mm.
I made one more small batch with some old jeans last night and I think I've finally got my hardened to resin ratio where I want it. So I'm going to have a blue jean micarta guitar pick and hopefully some sweet new slabs for my knife here soon

Nice one, you might want to keep a few of those picks in your pocket because when people see them they'll want one.
