I hate those things. Killed a bunch of my chickens one year. If they every get close enough again they will look like that.

Many meat eating scavengers do not taste very good. That guy would make some good fertilizer though !

Tasteless post & aim!

tasteless?...nah; shouldn't be for the crew here...unless you're a tactical carrying mall-ninja type.

bad aim?...what would be more proper; head completely blown off?...he got hit...put them down by any means necessary...

HAH! I could almost swear that is the same as the yote my buddy shoot with the 300 Mag... It was running and he ended up with the exact same, albeit poor, shot placement. One less stupid yote to run our deer off though.

I wouldn't eat it. The Bible has those diet restrictions for a reason. Carnivores are full of nasty shit.

Those restrictions were lifted in the NT. I'd eat a dog if I had to. Any meat would taste good with enough BBQ sauce. :D

Yes they were, but be prepared for the "holy shits" :barf:

Actually, I don't know what I am supposed to say about a pic of a random dead animal. I saw a possum spattered on the road coming home today, about as interesting, relevant and tasteful as this thread, hunters wonder why non hunters hate us. If I was a mod I would take this crap down now. Chris

august west i wonder how you would feel if you found a dead calf eviserated in the morning while you were smoking your pipe. or the remains of your favorite dog when you were smelling the roses.

Dennis, I can understand what you're saying, but the only dogs of mine that have been killed have been by (omitted adjective:foot:)redneck (omitted adjective again:foot:) with a .22 and one to many beers in 'em! Maybe, just maybe, you could understand that a picture of a gutshot animal with no real context to go with it could be less than pleasant to some people.

I'm not anti-hunting by any means, but your picture-and post-have nothing going for 'em, at least in my eyes. Tell me you made that shot at 400 yards with iron sights, or out of a helicopter at 45 miles an hour, at least that's impressive,or even give us some back story, but 'picture of a dead animal' all alone, that's pretty lame.

Lived in the west for 20 years, never actually seen a coyote attack a home;)

I have been calling and hunting predators for over 20 years and this turns my stomach.

Eviscerated calf, dead dog, please, your breaking my heart. I do not hate animals for being animals but I do hate humans for being idiots. Chris

I agree with A. West. Cull an animal if you will, but if you hit it with a gut shot don't go off and brag about it. This just serves only to promote an idea that cruelty and animal suffering are acceptable practices. They are not and should be avoided.

the yote was killed on cattle ranch. shot was 263 yds. with 7mm stw, checked by lazer. yotes attacked my nephews dog in summer & killed one calf. i beleive any shooters will consider that a tough shot at that range. i love you guys but i'm not on forum to win popularity contest. passion in our comments is not only expected but i welcome it. will try to get some hog photos soon. thanks for the response.incidentily the bullet left bore about 3400 ft. a second, shock was so strong animal fell immediately.
