First of all I wanna say that normally I'm all about leaving patina on a knife, but I also haven't had the chance to patina a fresh blade.
So here's the deal.
I just won a moderately used Mora # 711 in a gaw and it has some patina on it, it doesn't appear to be a real heavy patina in the pics though I'll know for sure tomorrow. I was hoping there may be a way to remove the patina with something I might have at home instead of having to buy anything.
I wouldn't have a problem buying some fine Steel wool if It would work without scratching, but I'm not sure what # would work best.
If anyone can help me out, that would be great.

Flitz worked for me, without steel wool. It might leave some small trace of patina, depending on how thorough you are.

Another vote for Flitz or Simichrome. Either or both can often be found in auto parts stores, hardware stores, home improvement stores or order online.

Flitz here i had my grandfathers straight razor and it was rusted and stained and i flitzed it to a mirror polish again with some elbow grease

Toothpaste will work but might leave a slightly hazy finish.
Edit to add: The regular toothpaste works a lot better than the gel type.

Flitz works well .
I have used the finest steel wool that I could buy with mineral oil , and it did not scratch the blades.

I don't, I may have some neverdull around somewhere though.
I also may have some car polish somewhere.
If, by car polish, you mean polishing compound - that should work (never tried it on a knife).
I've used Simichrome and Metal Glo with good effect...but I generally don't bother trying to remove patina.

I normally don't remove patina either, but have just never had the chance to patina a knife myself.
I couldn't find whatever the car polish or whatever is so I'll have to figure something else out.

I often use this water and aluminum foil trick to remove light rust, but I just don't think it's abrasive enough to remove patina.
I know I have some neverdull somewhere so maybe I'll try that when I can find it.

I looked up flitz online, and I don't really feel like spending 12$ on flitz for a 12$ knife that I'm getting for free.
I've also heard that baking soda will work for a light patina, so I may try that as well.

Awhile back there was a thread similar to this the OP I forget who it was talking about a Super Eraser. I bought one off that South American River site foe around $10 and it works great. Flitz, Mothers or some other metal polish and elbow grease also works.

DON'T use a rust eraser or auto polish! They will ruin your blade finish-unless you want it dull-finished.
Your NeverDull should work.
Every knife person should have:
0000 steel wool
NeverDull wadding
Simichrome polish
WD 40
Neutral paste shoe polish or paste wax.

These items will take care of a lot of issues with conventional knives.

Nevr-Dull should work. It is a metal polish and cleaner.

Any automotive metal polish should work as well. I use Turtle Wax Premium All Metal Polish to remove patina from my ZDP-189 blades.

Got any polish for the silverware?

I understand you may want to have a 'fresh canvas' and start your own patina, done this often myself. If you don't want to spend any cash on metal polish (here in Europe I use a polish for chrome plating-few cars have that anymore! Had the tube since the 1990s and it's still got plenty left so...) can't you scrounge some meal polish from friends family or work-mates? What I use is a green Scotchbrite type thing, soap and hot water, gives a good finish. In fact, putting the blade under an extremely hot tap after cutting say foods, produces a fine rainbow effect on it, just don't forget to dry it well.:D

Here's what I think is some nice patina on a GEC 73 and an old David Laguiole
