This is my first Becker knife. I love the knife but did not like the scales so I made some from micarta and gave them a carved finish.

Very nice. Very unique. Those are some nice looking scales. I would wonder about hot spots in heavy use, though. How do they feel?

They feel smoother than they look, I'll tell you in a couple of weeks if I get blisters. The beauty of them is is that if there are any hot spots I can sand them out ;)

Well, they're very well done. You're right; even if you do get blisters, you can always sand them down a little. I like 'em.

Thanks for the compliments. Most of the fixed blades I own are RATs and I've rehandled them also, this is my first Becker and it won't be my last :)

I wouldn't think that it would be your last Becker. Once you see the quality of a Becker — especially for the price — it's hard not to want more.

does anyone else see an OWL in these handles ?..................
