Thanks for all the compliments guys. I used the original scales as a template, cut out the shape on a band saw then shaped them with a belt sander. I've rescaled a few knives before but this is the first time I've tried doing the carved/sculpted look.Those look great how did you make them?

A couple of questions for you:
1) What size scales did you get from him? (He has several available and I want to be sure)
2) What grit sandpaper did you use for aggressive shaping of the scales? Or, did you use something else for that?

Thanks for the kind words. The micarta was 1/4 inch thick and the shaping was done with the top of a belt sander with 80 grit belts.
