Homemade Forge/Furnace

I'm looking for plans or a step by step to building a small gas fired heat treat forge/furnace. It really only needs to hold 1 or 2 blades, so nothing terribly big and I would like to be able to use propane or LP to fire it. I've done quite a bit of searching on this site, there's a LOT of information, but I just can't find what I'm looking for. I'm sure I probably overlooked a good thread or just searched for the wrong information. So if anybody has a favorite set of plans or a good thread I would really appreciate being pointed in the general direction. Or if you just want to say "Look here stupid!", that would be fine too.

I would like to be able to build everything from the burner to the oven if that makes a difference.

Oh, and I am a tite wad. So if I can find directions to make cheaper than buying it, I will.

I think I'm going to build that Indian George blown forge. It looks fairly easy.

gunner7800 , if you are not after a blown burner afterall , try googleing tharwa valley forge , theres a step by step on making a nice sized venturi burner and forge .

I have built the burner and added a 50mm long 12:1 flaired tip on the end to use as a general heating torch . Heat output is comparable to a LP / oxy heater of about the same size.

I have also been told that welding heats with the combo are quite good.

Thanks for the link wack. After the suggestion of bladesmith to dig through the stickies, I did finally find what I was looking for on Larry Zoeller's website. Below are links to what I've decided to build; the mini forge and mini side arm burner. I will probably build mine out of 8" or 10" pipe and make it about 12"-14" long. The only thing I'm not sure about is where I can get a tapered flare tip, or if I really need one.
