Homemade poison for your blades.

There is a huge difference between writing an article in a magazine and writing the same information in a thread. I believe that it is against forum rules to write about things that are illegal. Beyond that it is in poor taste to write about such things. Why would you want to cause someone unnecessary harm? I am not an expert by any means and I have very little experience with any sort of martial arts, but I believe that part of your training is knowing when to stop fighting and avoiding confrontation. Pre-meditated assault isnt doing either of these.

He told me that in Islam, or the Islam practiced in silat, there is both good and bad magic. The bad magic of course being black magic.
Sufi dervishes use a form of magick, but very little is known of it as it is a closely guarded secret. Issac Bonewitz says that "There is no 'black' magic -- magic is as moral as electricity."

He said that there is a prayer he can say before he fights that will bring all the souls of his dead ancestors into his body, so It would be like fighting 50 people instead of one.
This is untrue. Several mystical fighting styles do incorporate a form of spirit/demonic possession into their teachings, but it is a practice of dubious validity -- great for going amok and absorbing serious wounds, but such a one can certainly be defeated by a skilled fighter who is not possessed. It is like fighting someone on PCP.

He is such an interesting person, and he is very deeply rooted in his religion.
Sounds like a fraud to me. Lots of "secret" martial arts systems are run like cults, with "masters" who are unable to provide any proof of their background -- you are expected to be in awe, and take them at their word. If he was the real thing, he would not be telling you to smear dog poo on yer knife, nor would he be teaching you "black magic". He wants to impress you for some reason . . . maybe he thinks you're a cutie?

Like I said earlier in a different thread about the subject.

If you use it in SD, and or caught with whatever you are using (and are asked what's on the blade, they could figure it out anyways, it's a rehtorical question though) that is poisioned, regardless it will be your ass on the line for a pre-meditated murder charge.

Poisions historicaly espically poisoined weapons are just really interesting in a way though.

tyr-shadowblade, you don't know what the hell you are talking about. Sounds like you learned everything you just wrote from a book. My teacher is deffinitly no fraud. All that jibberish you just wrote is your opinion, and you are intiitled to it of course.

Yes, there is such a thing as black magic to some people according to their religion. And thats obviousely not a good thing. In Islam you have the good gin and the bad gin. They say that you have one that sits on each of your shoulders, both fighting for your attention. Of couse you don't want to pay attention to the bad gin. In some styles of silat, the weak ones tend to gravitate towards the bad gin, thinking that is the quickest way to gain skill in martial arts, success, etc. And the ones that go to the bad gin for help practice a belief that leans towards what they concider black magic. The ones that pay attention to the bad gin never live a good life, and in the long run, something bad always happens to them. And they also say that the ones that follow the evil gin never have a peaceful death.

Now tyr-shadowblade, if you would actually take the time to read a post before you reply, at the beginning of this thread I wrote that in Sayoc Kali I learned about the dog waste mixture. Not from my silat teacher. Thats a different school. Thats Sayoc Kali! Read more carfeully next time.

In many styles of silat that come from Indonesia or Malaysia, as students you are taught to incorporate your faith, which in those countries is most often Islam. And you are taught both the good and the bad, and you have to make your own judgements and follow your own path. Now, my teacher did not teach any religion because most of us are not muslim, but he would give us information about how he was taught and what he was taught, so we know where he's coming from, and of course for cultural reasons because that is all part of his culture and the way he was taught.

Tyr-shadowblade- when you accuse my silat teacher of being a fraud that can't prove his credentials, that was a very stupid remark. Why would you even say that? This is no secret martial art, or secret style of silat, or no cult teachings. Maybe you have a problem with muslims or religion or something, but thats your personal business. Never once did I say he teaches black magic, but he informed us its out there, and it is unfortunatly part of silat the way he was taught if you go down the wrong path. Not now, or has he ever taught anything on how to do anykind of magic, but he warns against it. Also, there is good magic to, not all magic is bad. Its all up to the student. He's is most deffinitly no fraud. Be careful of who you call a fraud.

He might think I'm a cutie?? Kind of a wierd comment to make tyr-shadowblade. Armbreaker 69 don't roll that way. I'm a ladies man. Although the girls do tell me I'm cute, so I guess yes, I am a cutie.

This isn't the forum to discuss poisoning people.
