Here's the dealio.

I've got a HH inbound in the next couple days and I need a quick sheath. I'm sure I'll get a Leatherman or Brown in the future, but I need one to take into the wood this coming weekend.

I've got a Home Depot about two miles down the road...so the sky's the limit on supplies. (Somewhat)

Time to put on your creative hats. Throw me some bones here.

You can REALLY use just about anything. Duct tape and bubblewrap. Or a piece of an old towel wrapped with duct tape.
Or maybe something like this:
You can laugh all you want, but it will work as well as any other MacGuyerized sheath.

I'll try to post up a picture of my home made sheath when I get home tomorrow night..I'm out of town right now so I can't upload pictures to my computer. It's just a simple cardboard + duct tape sheath though. I have a lot of fun making them and they seem to be able to hold the knife well. I don't have a belt clip like walking man above, but the do have a fold over piece of cardboard that doubles as a great belt loop. Someone posted directions on the boards a while back if you can find the post. Search function never works for me for some reason so I can't help you there.

i never got to continue my pvc sheath projects... only got to use a pipe that was too thick for what i was going for...

Wow! Homemade huh??? That's really nice. Love that dark brown color i the first ones...

Aren't all of Dwane's (LeatherHog), Dave's (Buy Brown), and Brian's (Okuden) sheaths made at home? :D

Those were all made in my home of my hands thank you.
Gunner be sheathmakings best kept secret on BF. :D

Ash, I've got a couple of ideas flowing, I just need to make sure the stuff is at the hardware store or not.:o Plastic sheet, a few layers for the welt, and some small bolts, and some nylon webbing for a belt loop and you got a sheath!

PVC, or that black hose syloflex I think its called, can be heat molded like Seth said.

I've made quick sheaths out of milk jugs, staples and duct tape before, but only for smaller stuff. It could be done for the HH, but you'd have to use plenty of tape to sturdy it up. Or maybe double / triple the plastic. Hmmm....

My skills are on par with Walking Man. I'm all about the milk jug and tape. You other guys make me sick:barf: :D

Keep the pics coming. Good stuff here.

Would that be a duct tape/cardboard fusion sheath? Sorry Dwayne, couldn't resist...

Progunner- You do great work. Those are some nice looking sheaths.

Here's one that I made last night. That's sad actually, Sat night and I'm sitting at home making a knife sheath  .

Ofcourse, sitting at home last night did enable me to catch Lyndsy Lohan and Pearl Jam on SNL.
