I made a set of homemade wicked edge water stone sets using Norton water stones. They work well, but I have moved into freehand sharpening so I don't need these anymore. I used them a couple of times with terrific results! You have to have an angle cube to use these correctly just FYI.
To make these I bought blank WE paddles and glued in strips of Norton Water Stones that I cut to size with a tile saw. I will include With this purchase the additional pieces of water stones that I haven't used yet so you can refill the set at least once as long as you have a way to cut them to size.
The grits are 220, 1000, 4000, and 8000.
If you have been wanting to try the wicked edge waterstones but were scared of the price, now is your chance! I am just looking to send these to a good home, so they are going to be only $70 shipped.
Please email or PM me if you have questions, and thanks for looking!
