Is there any plan to restore the messaging option to post something public on another users profile page?

You'd need to ask Spark to get an absolute reply, but I'm not aware of any.

Messaging on a user's profile page was withdrawn. We had a lot of scamming issues in which registered member buyers would leave their email addresses on profile pages, scammers would respond before the actual person would, and then scam the buyer. Especially for new members, there was an impression that messages left on profile pages were not visible to the public. But they were visible to all.

Also, most members were not deleting old messages. So email addresses left over the years remained visible. That meant that the profile pages were a rich source of email addresses which scammers took advantage of when scamming in new active sales threads.

The simplest solution for the site was to withdraw the option to leave profile messages. Anything else would have been extremely labor intensive.
