Honey Badger Houdini

That's interesting, I know introducing predators does help the ecology. Having a wolverine run around, isn't a good idea haha. But they're neat creatures.

Predators are not just 'helping' the ecology, they are in fact an essential piece of it and without them the prey animals actually lose in so many ways. I'm all for wolves, badgers, wolverines, grizzly bears, etc… running around. I'll take my chances if it means I get to be a part of a healthy sustainable ecosystem.

ok I am not in the most civilized area of America - but do live just outside of ST Paul MN - suburban mixed with some ag.

In a local park reserve ( several hundred acres) on a horse trail in woods and meadow land) today I saw a wolverine on the trail ahead of me ... A wolverine - I had no idea what it was. Nope not a coyote, not a dog, a wolverine - Bushy tail, dark brown streak in a lighter brown coat, roundish head. I stood there and watched it asking the question ... What are you???

now that was cool!

When I had my experience seeing one, we asked ourselves that very question….my father law believed it to just be a large raccoon. I immediately said aloud, that's a damned wolverine! They have a pretty obvious form IMO, not easily mistaken for a raccoon. In the middle of the day no less, I don't believe I've ever seen a raccoon move in the day time.

Very cool indeed…. :D

no HB talk would be complete without this
