HONORE' DURAND LAGUIOLE

Excellent pin-work there adds greatly to the appearance. I'm also impressed by the skill in choosing the horn and hafting it. Swells out to meet the palm for comfortable grip. The French are very good at using horn/corne- I've never had a French horn handled knife shrink or warp back from the liners or pins, despite living in very dry conditions. Can't say the same about other horned knives though...;)

Very nice! My very first pocket knife that wasn't a keychain SAK was a Laguiole from Honore Durand. It is the knife that started it all for me in this hobby. I still own it and it pretty much serves as my usual steak knife these days.View attachment 1151243
They have a fine shape for enjoying a steak; and many other things!!
