My dad, Roger, passed away last year. He loved this forum and was active back in 2004-2006 before he got sick. From 2000-2006 he sold knives on ebay under sharpetoys.

I have inherited his collection and have been studying and researching and lurking since September. I didn’t want to be some dumb chick post for help without some sort knowledge.

I have messgaed w/ Jerry and Garth and some others here on the forum. Everybody has been super kind and helpful - thank you. I have been schooled on the saturated market of Busse knives and the lack of appreciation for the older models by some of the new people who may have never heard of the Zero Tolerance Series. I understand their is limited history and sales since there are only 28 of the Eu17 Magnum even made.

I want to list them to sell on the forum but I am also leary.

I don't want just anyone to get my dads knives. He was passionate about knives and cherished each and every one. He had exceptional taste and liked the best of the best, he would not buy anything that wasn’t unique, expensive or had a cool story to go along with it. It’s more about who gets the knife than the money. That being said, I am not giving anything away. I will be fair but not taken advantage of. I just don’t want to see them on ebay 2 weeks later. My dad raised me better than that. I am trying to do the right thing by him.

So, I am asking for some pricing help and opinions.

He has a EU-17 Magnum never used
And 4 from the Zero Tolerance Series
ZTSJ
ZTBM
ZTNO
ZTSH ( sterile black crinkle coated blade)

All never used. In excellent condition. I will post pics in next post.

Thank you
K

Sorry to hear of the loss of your father.
I can't help you with the prices, but for WIW, I can help put your mind at ease about selling them here... Doing that will get your father's cherished collection into the hands (or hooves in some cases ;)) of folks that are every bit as passionate about, and love Busse Knives just like like your dad did.

Good luck!

I tried to take pics so you can see. I am thinking the scratches are from sheath? I have not tried to clean either one.

I have a ZTBM that is sterile with black crinkle and brown micarta like your Steel Heart pictured. When I bought mine used I was told these were only offered in a ganzaa after the initial ZT were released in satin and that only 12 of each were sold in that finish, in that ganzaa. How true that is I can't vouch for but that is what I was told. So it is also likely to be very rare INFI. I have no idea its value, especially in what appears to be mint condition. Mine was used just shy of abuse and I paid ~$450 about a decade ago. Good luck, and I'm also sorry to hear of your loss.

Thank you, I appreciate the info. I had heard something similar or read it somewhere. Yes, this and the Eu17 are in mint condition. He only displayed them, never used. He had leaner meaners he used, those were his fave and I am keeping those, gotta love the snakeskin micarta.

Just for the love, would you please post pics of these if it's not too much trouble

I am sorry for your loss. In my opinion, the ZT series are some of the more desirable ones of the Ergo models. There were 400 each of the satin ZTBM, ZTSH and ZTNO (each 3/16" thick); only 100 of the ZTSJ were made, and I think it is slightly thicker than the other ZT models. Coated ZT knives are pretty rare. Values are difficult to pinpoint due to limited recent sales history; I'm guessing the ZTSJ will command the highest price. Best wishes on your sale!

Sorry for your loss.
My bud had the zt set a few yrs back he was trying to sell, ranged $600/1000+
A fair price imo would be (I would personally charge on the high end of the below quotes or more)
-no 650/800
-sj 800+ (most rare of the zts)
-bm $800-1000+
-sh 650/800

I had a mag eu I sold for a few yrs ago I wanna say for 800ish but if I had today in would ask more as they are super bad arss!

If your dad got them new from busse he likely paid under half of those prices. If he got them on the secondary years ago he more then likelt still paid well under those prices I quoted above.

Best of luck

These are all kydex sheaths he has does anybody know if any of these go with busse knives I have..

If you want to be sure, wrap the knives blade with something that won’t cause damage before inserting the knife. Kydex can cause scratches on a blade.
Some of them look like a fit but there’s no way to tell by pics
To me it looks like you’ve got a small fortune in busse!

The smaller one he last purchased is a scrapyard doggy dagger.

The sheaths in the first set-I dont think the two larger ones are for any busse family blade, need to see the other side of the small one to tell. The larger sheath in the pic by itsself Im 99% sure is for an original busse shbm(10''ish) or shsh2(8''ish)
