Honoring my Dad- Help with Pricing for EU-17 and ZTSH, ZTBM, ZTSJ, ZTNO

The smaller one he last purchased is a scrapyard doggy dagger.

The sheaths in the first set-I dont think the two larger ones are for any busse family blade, need to see the other side of the small one to tell. The larger sheath in the pic by itsself Im 99% sure is for an original busse shbm(10''ish) or shsh2(8''ish)

Found a NO purchase but the price was removed, errrrr.
Yea he was buying the stuff around the time period where prices were silly cheap. You can easily double his investment without trying, you will not shame him. Have a good one.

That’s a spyderco co-copilot that some guy on eBay years back was modifying, kind of hideous. It’s worth 75 to 100 maybe more depending on the buyer. Would not go with that sheath above.

I really appreciate this thread! :D

I hope my Daughter has this much respect for my "old junk" after I'm gone.

I hope you get top dollar, I hope your Dad's knives get to appreciative new owners, and I hope that you have fond memories of your Father.

Sharpetoys!!!

Wow that was probably one of the nicest things to say. I am an only child and my dad always wanted a boy so I was his hunting and fishing buddy. I have been going to Redskins games (the good ole days with the hogs & smurfs), baiting hooks, using knives and shooting since I was 8. But I am pretty girly too as you can tell I am very sappy, sentimental. This is very hard for me and emotionally draining. I am dreading the forum sale post....

My Daughter is also an "only", I am trying to raise her as well as possible (I'm 43, she is 10). Roger clearly instilled "something" in his girl...Take your time with his estate, these physical things can have an emotional/physical connection with you....Your well being and memories of your father will always be more important than the "stuff", even if you need the money (I don't know your situation)....

There are many folks here that are salt of the earth and will give you top dollar (dericdesmond is one), you can always consign with someone like "arizonacustomknives", or Ebay...maybe place an ad here with a pie in the sky amount... I'm not an Interested buyer, but IM me if you'd like some advice.

That No and Bm are a sweet set and probably won't last long if they even get to the Ex. I'm sorry to hear about your Dad passing may he rest in peace. You were right he did have great taste in knives.

I agree the people that have reached out to me and who have responded when I have reached out have been for the most part- genuine and kind. I have been researching and not selling anything since September. My aunt passed away a month after my dad. He was 70, she was 60. I have accumulated a ton of stuff, it has been 7 months of going thru and sorting it all out. What do you keep? What do you throw away? My house is full, my garage is full, my office is full of knives and guns. My mind cannot handle all the cluttter, it is messing with me. I have decided to let go.

He instilled in me to stand up for myself and always do my best. I think he did a pretty good job, he was stern and strict (probably from being a Marine) A’s were the only acceptable grade in his opinion. He would always say “who wants a C, thats just average, who strives to be average?” My daughter is an only too, she is 12. She is also a tomboy (blonde hair and blue eyes) but in a more in athletic way (comp soccer and flag football) All of her friends are boys, she just told me the other day, “girls are too much work and too much drama” Her pappy (what she called my dad) would be proud.

Thank you, he sure did. If he liked something, it didn’t matter what it cost. He didn’t buy just anything.

Thanks to Murman, I got my first sale in the exchange. :)

I decided to conquer my fear and list the Hot Diggity Dog Dagger. I also listed a Michael J Smith custom folder, a First Production Run Bark River Rogue, Prototype Fox River and a Cuda Maxx 5.5. Working on getting his Bura’s listed next, those things scare me  lol

Prayers to you and yours in the wake of your losses.

I have experience with all of the ZT knives. I feel the ZT series is some of the best knives Busse has ever made. I don't know dericdesmond, and his reputation precedes him for knowledge, appreciation of Busse and his business ethics - and I can corroborate his price range based on purchases over the last 18 months.

All the best.

It was a pleasure buying from you. One bit of advice, I'd put your preference for accepting the buyer - first to post I'll take it, first email, your choose, ect. Some really tense times have happened when one posted and another emailed and both thought they were first.

This is going to look great paired with my force multiplier V8. Being under 5.5" its legal everywhere in Texas. Hope your dad would approve.

I am sure he is smiling down on us now. Thanks again for the advice. I was warned about the Hogs lol but everybody has been so kind. Thank you for making me feel welcome and comfortable.

Ok so I posted the EU17 in the exchange. My stomach is in knots, why is selling a knife so stressful? Lol
