Just thought you all should know . I slathered up all my horn-handled khuks with Hooflex, and left them by the woodstove for about 36 hours. I just wiped off the excess this afternoon, and the results are fantastic. You can really tell a difference in the horn. It's quite shiny, and it's definitely been moisturized. A few places where the horn had pulled away from the bolster or buttcap due to shrinkage are now gone because the honr has expanded. I slap it on there every few months, but I usually only leave it on overnight. The extra time really seemed to make a difference. As an added bonus, the heat from the stove radiates the smell of Hooflex throughout the dome. It's full of wholesome pine tar and lanolin goodness. :barf:
