the wife and i up and decided at the last minute to get ower first camping trip of the year out of the way. it took us about 20 minutes to pack for it, we kayak camp all summer so we pretty much know what we need. we went out to the H N F and hiked about 2 miles back by the count of my GPS 4.5 miles round trip. found a nice little spot down in a seasonal flood plain.
here is the old road bed that leads in. my 3 labs Zane the sire jack the choc, and underdog the black. they are both his pups my picks of the litter.

my wife had never been here before so she geo cached on the way in. this is a spot we stoped. i waited while she looked for the cache then i spyed one of ower, being us here on the forums fav wood types.

this is where we stayed a good source of clean water for the dogs and us both.

i tryed to show how clean the water was but the polarization was pretty bad the water here is about 3 feet deep

fixens for a fire i usaly use fatwood but when my wife is along unless i chase her of she a vilen with a bic and some paper so this time i gave her coleman strike a fire fire starters they are like dura flame with there own match head and IMO they are worthless she lit one and the wind blew it out then it would not restrike.

dinner is on denty moore $2.98 each temperature safe and in a very tough package.

and lastly but defantly not least complamentary gear shot i always for get to give my gear a shout out in threads like this so here it is.

got this hamocks from bens for 35$ they are geat this is there secound season and worth every penny to me. tryed to show how small they are and super lite to carry.
