Here is a small, heavy tactical style knife custom made by Joe Hoover - called SOUK - Special Operations Utility Knife designed as a back up or primary utility knife for military or law enforcement personal or civilians who like a "steel busting" capable tactical style knife.
I am the original owner. It has been lightly used (no steel busting) and will come sharp but (for this crowd
) could always be sharper.
Kydex sheath was made by me.
Specs as detailed by the maker:
Steel - 1/4" thick 1095
OAL - 8-1/4"
Blade length - 3-1/2" tip to plunge
Grind - Flat with false edge and serrations
Tang - full tang with pattern holes drilled for perfect balance
Scales - Black linen micarta
Hardware - Stainless corby rivets and stainless lanyard tube
Last photo shows Hoover's maker's mark and some slight blemishes - pitting in the thick steel (both sides of the blade) that were original to the knife as new.
