Hope for young sheeple.

Damn, all of my stories with knives and women are nowhere near that upbeat! One of my previous girlfriends thought waving my ghetto-waved Tasman Salt was the most fun in the world though...I have no idea why... actually, that's a bit disturbing come to think of it :p
I'll have to stop by some Panera Breads when I'm in Maryland this July.:D:thumbup:

Cool story, and not even a joke about showing her your “other” multi-tool

I would have gotten her number though…

Followed by...

"THAT WAS AN ANNIVERSARY GIFT!!"

Victorinox Bantam: $15.95
Custom engraving: $10.00
Staying out of the dog house by claiming it was never lost in the first place: Priceless

When she asked if she could see your SAK, did you for a split second think Chris Hansen from to catch a predator was going to come out from behind a curtain??...LOL.

Just funnin, great story.. Its really amazing how far removed people are from knowledge and skills these days.

My best friend never knew how much he could use a knife for until I gave him a cheap CRKT, now he carries one almost everyday now.

Well, she didn't sound like a sheeple, just like someone who didn't happen to know anything about knives.

I also have a non-sheeple-ish story: some lady asked me for directions while I was cutting up boxes, and as I was saying "Go there, then there, then there," I realized that I was pointing and gesturing with my knife. After realizing I was pointing with my kinda large knife (ZDP Endura), I was surprised that she wasn't looking at me wide-eyed or that she didn't drive off in fear.

A good ending to the story, and cool that some sheeple are not immune to a small dose of education. Very nice of you to give her the knife too. . .

But the fact that some people can reach "adulthood" without being exposed to a knife's utility is disheartening.

Great story. Half way through, I was thinking, "give her the knife so we'll have another person on our side." That's just what you did! I commend you.
Exactly my thoughts! It's great to hear that good things happens and that true gentlemen are still out there. Those stories put a smile on my face...

Cool story, but I'm a bit disturbed by the fact that a young person, close to my age, can't think it's possible to cut food with a pocket knife. I grew up playing with SAKs so it seems strange. Anyway, this story reminds me of giving pocket knives to the young ones in my family when they grow a little bit older because I don't think their parents will.

A nice gesture. Thanks for sharing. Glad to see that there are people like you in real life and not just on TV or in a movie.:)

Very cool story. I've been keeping my Opinel in mind as a similar piece to "gift" if anyone is interested. Nothing like spreadin' the word. :)

That Bantam looks like it might suit most of my EDC needs. Guess it's time to make another trip to the store.

These days we need more folks to be familiar and comfortable with knives, especially the ladies ;).

Great story and thank you for sharing.

Way to go Jackknife! Great story, I think this is one of your first stories that I've read that is set in the present time! ;) But it's *just* as good as the other ones which I enjoy also.

While I'm a few years behind you in age, I'm old enough to appreciate some of the benefits of age, such as doing a nice gesture for a young lady and not having it mis-interpreted.
