Well after having my grinder (2x42) for about a month and then ordering my ceramic glass platen I FINALLY got the time to get it all glued together. I made sure a few days ago that when I drilled the bolts in that the glass sat level against it, which required some grinding of the bolts. Tonight was super anal about making sure everything was clean (to the point I had on rubber gloves to avoid any skin oil coming in contact with the glass or metal platen). Made sure the platen was perfectly level (flat) so the glass wouldn't slide at all while curing. Mixed up the JB weld and set the glass like you would a ceramic tile pushing and wiggling it around on the platen . Cleaned up the excess a bit and taped it in place.

I have no need for it in the immediate future so that's how it will sit for at least a few days until I decide to give it a test spin. With a little luck I'll have done everything right and it won't come flying off on me :)

I'll have to post it tomorrow, I have no idea what my wife did with the camera and waking her to ask where it is would be bad for me :p

You did remember to round off the leading and trailing edges...didn't you?
