Hopefully something interesting to hand down to grandsons...

Stringplucker I'm also a fan of barlows and I don't think you to could have made a better choice to start your collection. My Grandfather gave me my first pocket knife for helping him with some fencing when I was about 10 that was 54 years ago. I still have the knife and I had Glennbad bring it back to life in stag for me. This is the before and after pictures of it's transformation. I guess some folks are tired of seeing these pictures but this knife is so special to me I post it every time I get a chance. :D The last two shots are just random pictures of some of my barlows. May be some of the same knives in both pictures.

The smaller, matching Colonial came in today. I'm a little bit upset, because through creative photography and lack of complete description, I was sold one with a loose scale that's pulled up from the end opposite of the bolster. The pin is there, but pulled loose from the frame. Oh well...live and learn.

Besides...it give me a project to start with my youngest son. He's 18 now, and little projects like this are enjoyable for both of us.
