Anybody use this? What for?

My mom accidently ordered it on my Amazon account when she was buying stuff.
It's too late to cancel the order.

I've been using DuPont Teflon as lube for knives but am looking for a new one to try out.

Should I keep this? Or return it?

What other lubes/grease do you use...on your knives?

works great for cleaning my glock not so much for lubricating knives. the oil just attracts all the pocket lint and gunks up the pivot from my personal experience. i use tuff glide on all of my knives and it is awesome

I like to use Cleanzoil. It's safe on wood, leather and plastic.

Keep it. But find something else to use on your knives. It won't hurt them, but as GuinnessSynd said, it will attract gunk.

I am also wondering if anyone has used FROG LUBE on any of there knifes?
I been using for my handguns with great results from my Kimber TLE/RL Stainless, to Sig Sauer, S&W M&P`s to my H&K USP with no problems at all.
But I am new to the knife world when it comes to different blade materials.. So I am not sure if it would work with let's say a ZT 0560 Elmax blade..

Frog Lube is noted to work with metal and plastics. It shouldn't hurt knives.

If you have a cheaper knife, clean it out and put some on. Best way to find something out is to do it yourself.

Let us know your results.

I highly recommend Quick Release Oil. It works really well, and is highly efficient. It was designed for Latama Cutlery.

I'd keep it for the container/applicator, it looks perfect for door hinges and such as it is with the oil it came with (oil is oil).

Myself, I'd put mineral oil in the container for my knives so they stay sanitary for food/food packages. Recently, I was looking at an oilier at a local sporting goods store, and they wanted $10 for it.

I live in the desert though, so there is little rust, but dry-rot and the sun waist car finishes and radiator hoses. There is little dust (sand) in the city, so the dry lube isn't so important, but I can see if it were my going out in "the mesa" knife.

Anywise, I'll take it if your looking to pay shipping back to the vendor (or me instead).

What ever lube you decide to use, wipe off the excess. About a drop on the pivot is all you need. Less is best.

So, for $6, I decided to keep it. I was actually going to go to buy a syringe for my Teflon stuff, didn't realize I just bought one with the Hoppe's logo on it. :)

But, I decided to try it out. I cleaned my Skyline and applied a drop of it to each washer, and it flies out. It's very smooth. I like it, but I just dont know how long it'll last. So we'll see.

Thanks everyone.

Anyone try Super Lube with PTFE?

Sentry Solutions Tuf Glide is my lubrication of choice, for both my gun and my knives.

I usually think of Hoppe's as an 'old stand-by' name in gun cleaning products. I mostly use it for my knives and assorted mechanisms. It works great.

Hoppes #9 should offer a men's cologne. Seriously, I'd wear it.
