horizontal mill

I may have an opportunity to purchase a used bench mount horizontal mill. I am not very familiar with this type. I had considered a vertical mini mill mostly for drilling holes, but with an eye towards folders down the road. Does a horizontal mill have much application in knife making?

I can't imagine that a horizontal mill would be much use for this purpose.

does the head or table move in and out? if so then you can you an angle plate or tombstone setup to do the same as a vertical mill.
it not, then lost likely it's useful for making slots.
I suspect it's not really useful for what you need.
