Hey BW...

Mike Sastre makes the sheaths for the Pikuni...
More than likely it is capable of going horizontal..
Take a good look at it,,and maybe take it apart and try out the different options...

I'm sure Mike can always set you up with a simple horizontal loop if need be..

Drop him a note..

Sean,

I can set your sheath up for horizontal and size the belt loop to your belt. Contact me for details.

I just gotta jump in here for a second. Not trying to be a shiite or anything, but... it really isn't that hard to take the g-clip off, line it up on the sheath like you want it, and drill another hole in the sheath. Concealex just isn't that hard to work with.

Like I said, not trying to be ... well, you know... But despite Mike's offer to alter the sheath, it is a keckuva lot easier to do it yourself (and cheaper) than sending everything off to Mike to get it done.

Just a few thoughts.

I looked into that as soon as I got the thing, and it seems to me that
the belt clip is not big enough to accommodate holes for horizontal or
even 45 degree carry.

Aside from being one of the most beautiful plastic sheaths I've ever
seen, what is frustrating is that if the holes in the sheath were just a
little further apart, I could use the belt attachment from my other
REKAT neck knives. But no, they don't line up. Neither do they line up
with the on-scene tactical belt attachments. I suppose the various
makers either haven't considered interchangeability and standard
fittings, or have and don't want it which is understandable. Frustrating
for me right now though!

Maybe the mini tek lock would work? I'll mail Blade Tech and ask.

Keep posting your result y'all! Vertical belt carry really doesn't do it
for me.

I modified my Pikuni Sheath for Horizontal carry by adding one additional screw hole to the sheath (and possibly to the clip).

It was a very simple procedure and I doubt if most people could detect the extra holes unless they were pointed out.
