Horizontal Vertical KMG

Has anyone ever thought about that idea
I was thinking of making a base for my KMG that could do a 90 degree
tilt so that I could transform it into Horizontal Edge Finishing Grinder

keep us posted Ang :thumbup: I've looked at mine a couple of times with that same thought in my head. Ever since Rob came out with the horiz. grinder I've needed one

I've seen a Bader set up that way before, but never a KMG. Make sure you take pictures for us!

DUDE...YUR A GENIOUS! That idea just rocks. The motor needs to be mounted on the same movable surface so now you are talking some weight.

Rather than moving the KMG, set it on a bench with a section of table to the right that would tilt up 90 degrees for a vertical table surface surrounding the contact wheel size of your choice. Huh...huh...were talking now baby

Yep, the Bader would be easier with the direct attached motor. Thanks for that link fitzo.

One of the original inspirations for the workrest was to create the same sorts of capabilites of the horizontal grinder with the standard KMG. For those without the space or desire for the additional grinder, this provides for those same functions and additional versatility.
