Horton Knives Official Flashlight Thread ll

I was wondering if any of you flashlight guys have tried out one of these?

630 lumens +AA batteries, looks interesting

I have one. It is one of the things I keep by the bed for things that go bump in the night. I use rechargeable batteries in mine (it holds 8 AA batteries). I would recommend it for a home/truck light (it is around the size of a 2D cell Maglite).

Hello guys. I need some education on flashlights.... so any ideas where I can read the stuff, like types of spare parts why so and so and all the stuff I need to know to buy my self a good light.... or at least don't get reap off

After I have read some stuff and educate my self I will like to get a good power light. The best I have now its a E2D Executive Defender from surefire and I think its good....but this is like fire power....I need more.

So any suggestions, links, documents or what ever is welcome.

Thanks guys.

Ok guys, so my review is far from what I hoped to offer. But it will provide the bottom line. I tested out the Maglite 4 D with Malkoff drop in, the SureFire E2LD, SureFire 6P LED Defender, and the SureFire 6P with Malkoff drop in.

In a nutshell the Malkoff drop in offers a significant upgrade over the stop LED of Surefire.

I found that the SureFire 6P w/Malkoff drop in is the best light of the four I tested. It was the brightest, and even beat out the MagLite 4 D w/Malkoff drop in! I was really surprised by this. I like the bezel on the defender as it offers some additional utility. However, this can also tear up pants or other cloth. All in all I can say....buy the Surefire 6P with the Malkoff drop in. The price point is ideal, and you can customize it with parts to suit your personal needs. I know this is a horrible review, and lacks pictures. Hopefully I will get this up, but for the time being....this is what I have to offer. Take it or leave it!

Thanks for the review Mike. Does the Maglite throw better than the 6P because of the large reflector?

Yes, I noticed the throw is a bit better, but I did not do much long distance testing. I hope to offer a better more detailed review. I just need some time. Maybe I can bring the lights out when you come fishin...if we do the evening thing.

I have a Malkoff M60 warm flood in my Elzetta. I really like it, superior color rendition and room lighting (no hot spot) beam.

Excellent Maine - I'd rather carry the E2LD although not as bright as the Malkoff 6P it is much lighter than the Maglight

Plus you can make dot heads with it :D

True, I did not mention the fact the the slimmer yet slightly and longer E2LD offers a nice clip on it. This light functions as a bit more of a wearable light, and offers some additional "levels" regarding the light. "Levels" means that it offers different levels of brightness by simply clicking the light. I should not have put out such a premature review. This was more of my broad, and by that I mean very broad conclusion. I will provide more details when I have the opportunity to do so.

Thanks or you patience.

Hey Guys,
Here come a few unreleased new Triple XPG Drop-ins for you Platinum Playas.
