Not the chisel,, the handle itself,, I ground it thinner,, when I put the scales on so the thinnest part of the knife on the downward bend of the handle,, was now thiNNer,, if there was no holes in the blade or the holes were smaller,, it would be better,, same thing happen to my spyderco spot,, I was picking my teeth with it and PING. It snapped at that thin part of the ring,, who knows,, the color difference was where I ground on it,,
 
Jerm---I'm convexing the secondary bevel on the spider with 320. It's going to look killa!!
 
Actually I do,, have another one ground,, and ready.. I its a meltdown, and is the thinniest one I have ever done,, partial hollow grind,,
