Par for the course here in TN. Usually, they cuff you, nightstick you a little bit, sometimes kick you, then write the ticket and let you go.
The $250 fine adds insult to injury.

whoa wait a minute small fry! that asshole just robbed or assaulted someone(i can't remember which). the officer ordered him to the ground for his own safety. he used the tazer because the guy wasn't compliant. in this business you 1) ask 2) tell and then 3) make a person do what you tell them. the guy wasn't calm. watch again and you'll see the asshole inching toward the officer before being tazed. the bad guy was closing the distance, which suggest he was preparing to attack. the officer recognized this and reacted APPROPRIATELY! what you don't see off-camera is the badguy choking the officer! GOOD SHOOT! just because he is shot once doesn't mean he isn't a threat. I can't find the video now, but there was a texas trooper named Mark Coates that shot a guy 6 times with a .357 mag after taking fire from the suspect. Coates died and the bad guy was up walking around when back up arrived. don't judge a man until you've walked in his shoes!
