I was raised on a small farm in Idaho where we produced Angus beef, wheat, alfalfa and barley, and yes chickenplucker...chickens.
We used Australian Shepherds to round up cattle and keep the occasional unwanted varmints at bay.
Our farm, along with many like it, was eventually turned into 2 and 5 acre lots for the rich and famous.
I have never lost that country boy inside of me and after 10 years in college decided it was time for another dog.
Pepper, our Australian Shepherd, is the defender of our home, my 2.5 year old daughters shadow,an avid swimmer and my avatar.
