Thanks. Hartsfield was the first person to tell be a bout using the Green Scotch -Brite pads. 320 sandpaper is about the same grit. Garth told me that.

Here you go! I use the extra fine sheets, it doesn't remove much metal, just rust for the most part. There is some staining left behind from previous encounters with vegetation, which is evident in the pictures.

I like the plain spine for batoning. There were some with just the one blood groove down the middle or even a little higher up on the blade. I liked those.

Well that's not 100% correct. Yours has just a blood groove in the spine of the blade. Which is a signature of mine ,, I will use when I can,,
