How hard can I test it? Will it survive a drop on concrete? Will it survive strapped to an AR, or shotgun?

My 6PL seems dim now :D

Test it like me you think it would be used in real life. Drop it once or twice from belt level. Strap it to an AR. Just post a review in the tread.

I would love to see it on an AR.

sorry maines. worked off duty last night at a concert. up bright and early this morning for mass and a friend's child's baptism. now ya'll can just call me the Godfather!

a SWAT buddy and I are going to Cincinnatti on the 27th to pick up my new pup. I've heard that the "over the rhine" neighborhood is pretty hardcore. we're thinking of doing a "ghetto safari". anyone been through there?

spikes products are ok, but their customer service is the worst i've ever encountered. i've placed a couple of orders with them for rifles, as have a few buddies, and they are so screwed up, it's scary. it was so bad that i wrote a letter to the CEO(which i've never done before). I think they are overpriced for what you get. i've heard good stories, but never had anything except bad experiences. you may have better luck. I'd check and see who makes their BCG and barrels. granted these are MY opinions and we all know that opinions are like assholes and elbows, right? :)

Ok you gun nuts....
Ive had limited experience with firearms...
Dont own any at the moment, but was looking into
getting a 22 rifle. Cheap,cheap ammo,easy to shoot etc.
I had a ruger 1022 at one point in my life and thought it was great.
Thats what I was thinking about getting again.
In the city of Chicago,a law abiding citizen
is not supposed to own a handgun
(although a gang banging thug has all the rights it seems)
A 1022 or similar would be better than nothing for home security?
Now,you posted in the past about that Spikes Tactical,I went there
looking around,
what is all that stuff.
What is an "upper"
Why would one spend 700 dollars for an upper when the
gun cost 150 to start with.
What am I missing here?
Does that "upper" turn it into a full auto or something?
Does it make it more accurate so you
can shoot the balls off a flea at 300 yards?
Edjumakate me.

Thanks again for the heads up.

I think your looking at the .22 AR upper. If you have a nice .223 AR ($1200-2000+) you may want to practice with cheaper .22 ammo instead of relatively expensive .223. That said, there seems to be better options than a .22 upper. The AR comes in 2 major groups of parts, the upper and the lower. You need both for the gun to work.

I used to have a 10/22. They come in a zillion combos.

Hope that helps, but there are better people to ask than me on this forum.:o

i thought i was the only retard that couldn't sharpen worth a shit....

Oh, no.

I can retrofit a 1 megawatt laser ... but my sharpening is still somewhat pathetic. I think the problem isn't skill, it's just lack of time to do it.

Anyway, that's what I'm going to claim.;)
