FWIW---I always liked Phill Hartsfield's duty finish on his blades. Jerm, I really like your finish on the flat side of the spider. Guys, the finish is the grind lines running in different directions. It's cool...it says, use me and I'll still hold up. Nice touch, mane.

I call that my custom "Blanchard Grind Finish".

I having a weak moment. Today, I will make a small wood stand for the spider. I might not carry her, just gawk at her on the shrine shelf. :D
 
I am very upfront about having user finishes on my blades,, the only thing that doesn't have scratches is the edge

I don't make art knives
 
A blanchard grinder is what they use to take the steel to nominal thickness, it rotates in a circle. Grinding in a circle. That's waht makes those marks,
