Hossum definitely has style. There is a very nice visual characteristic you'll notice when you check his work out. Retribution also had a very nice write up in an old TK article.
Great design, superb fit and finish, ergonomics second to none, best materials on the planet...guess I like'em
Check out these Retribution pics from Fire horse's site.
Don't have a retribution but have held them several times . . . REALLY awesome knives! I have one of his hollow ground machetes and a bird and trout. He grinds steel like nobody's business and is a super guy on top of that. He's at the top of my list for fixed blade makers!
I have two of Jerry's knives and consider them to be prized possessions. Plus I have just gotten one for my brother. If you want a knife that looks good, one that you can bet your life on and one that will last forever, call Jerry.
I will be checking out Jerry's table in NY later this week - seems I'll have to get used to sharpening recurved blades - something I have been avoiding by simply not using them. That blows - some of my favorite carrys are recurves, but I don't use them for cutting for fear of sharpening.
