Just a note about the Hosted Knifemaker Forums.

For those who don't know about them:
Some of the folks here have a private forum in the Knife Makers Discussion Forum. Open that forum and you will see all the Hosted maker's Forums listed.

To the folks who have these forums:
I am now able to moderate these forums ( probably always could). I can sticky a thread or do any other task, like remove a thread or post. Let me know by PM if you need anything done.

Stacy, I hope I'm not overstepping my bounds with this suggestion, but maybe it would be good idea to put a sticky thread there for newcommers, where each of those knifemakers would have a post showing some of their knives... a virtual showroom of a sort. I think it might give overview of diversity and beauty of those knives, and entice more people to jump in one of those subforums and take a look.

Thanks Stacy! Most appreciated!

We have a lot of fun over at the Makers Subforums so be sure to check them out. I welcome everyone to come by and say Hi on mine, we have a lot of fun talking knives and more! (link is in my signature)

Good idea Wolf.

I'll sticky this thread. Any knifemaker who wants to post a "Hello", a basic description of his forum, knife styles, etc., and a link to it, can do it here. Lets leave photos out of this thread, as that is part of the purpose of their personal forums.

About a year-and-a-half ago, my wife and I asked our pal Ethan Becker if he had any advice on getting more exposure for my knives... without skipping a beat he answered, "Talk to Spark about getting your own subforum." I have not regretted it for a minute. :)

The hosted knifemaker's forums are a great resource for makers and customers/potential customers alike. They foster a sense of community, and make it easy to keep your own gallery, FAQ thread, news and updates etc all together in one handy place. They're also much easier to update and keep organized than an actual website, and I've found it to be much more successful.

Much thanks to Spark for offering us this opportunity!

Here is mine.

I've not regretted getting a subforum either. It was directly funded in part by my customers, which I think are the best in the world.

Feel free to stop on and say howdy. I've got all the stickies up that explain my warranty and introduce myself.

I'm right between two of my most favorite maker's in the world, Daniel Fairly and Andy Roy of Fiddleback Forge. Big shout out to those guys for the massive amount of help both have given me, whether they know it or not.
