For those less familiar with the individual knives, please note that in Group A the Wandering Knife and the Farm Knife are reversed in the photo.

LOL....couldn't help myself, the sword was just yanking on my heart strings, the GS too, but I could only bring one home, so I picked the Indo sword, since I just got a GS a few months ago. Watch it brother, this shark has got some teeth back, and he's not afraid to use them...;)

I know man! You got two rows of teeth showin lately! Im leavin you alone for a spell till you get them rounded off a bit. You did well! That indo dont come around much. I gotta cool things down anyway. My nurse thang said I have too much iron in my blood and not enuff white blood cells to fight them off. If I dont do something to get it under control she says some bad things could happen to my organs? Not sure what she meant but shes the RN and I aint gonna push that one (need some of them organs). Back to the doghouse till my next paycheck. Thats the best thing I can do rite now:D

While im here: You fellas that aint got no Farm Knife....well I pity you!!! I have a Farmcata and a Falcata and now a Farm knife and man is that ever a sweet knife. Its one of those knives you want to have a custom sheath made for and stick a ferro rod and a pouch full of somethin and wrap it in some beaver tail! What a cool knife and the balance and ergo feel is like nothing else. I love my traditional Khuks and swords but this one really stands out! It does have almost a saber flat grind so you have to be aware of that if you were to do some hard core chopping but in the kitchen..Wow! Whacking through a rack of ribs! Dang! Effortless. You could filet fish no problem with this blade. Hope some unsuspecting new guy gets it! Love to see his face when he opens the box!

What's the history of the Wajaski Sword?
I'm not sure what history you're asking for, but the Wajaski is the HI version of the Japanese Wakizashi, or short sword, the one-handed companion blade to the katana.

The general size and shape is similar to the Wakizashi, but there are many differences. The Wajaski blade is 5160 high carbon steel, like all HI blades. The handle is usually buffalo horn or satisal (a kind of rosewood), rather than the cloth-wrapped handle of the Japanese Wakizashi. HI kamis use a different technique for hardening the edge.

The biggest difference, probably, is the price. An HI Wajaski costs much less than a good quality Japanese Wakizashi. The Japanese blade will probably be more perfect, with a better fit and finish, but only to the expert eye.

Eh, it was long gone! Got stealth sharked again.

No biggie, always nice to keep the extra funds around a bit longer.

Ndog, ole buddy, listen to your missus, we need you around, so take care of yourself!

davidf99,

Thanks! That's the information that I wanted. I particularly wanted to know the basis, and knowing that this knife is built on that Japanese knife satisfies my curiosity. I may search engine the Japanese knife a little bit.
