Ndog, GS got sold twice. I happened to be on the losing end. However Yangdu made me a deal on the YCS knife, so I jumped on it! I think I'm more excited about that than the GS!

OOOH...a YCS! You going to love it! Glad you got it, I came back to see if the YCS was spoken for, if not, I was going to jump on it, because this one is special somehow, don't know why, but it calls to me something fierce.

I sent money to Yangdu for the Gelbu Special. Then she emails me and said she sold it twice. She would refund or credit. So I started looking for other options. My first was a 30" Sirupati...unavailable! Then I narrowed it down to 3 others. And like you, this one started calling my name sooooo.....
I did it! I've always been impressed with these.
Can't wait to get it!

I think Mrs Martino just did you very well. Im thinking you'll be very happy! That's the fancy one! As bad as I want to use mine I just havent been able to put her to work yet. I want a villager built exactly like the ones we got. They are so well balanced and have a great general purpose design. They already make the Kardas separate but i wish they would make the YCS Khuk in a villager model like they do the KLVUK to reach more poor folk like me and promote the design because it would make a great overall camp carry blade in itself. I think it would go over very well! The closest blade I got to it is the Purna first prize Khuk. Its got lots of belly and plenty of heft and a great strong convex edge for chopping. If its going to be a user then its an awesome replacement for the Gelbu special. Both are of my favorites but lets see what you think!

Well folks, finally pulled the trigger. Time to see if there are any sharks in these here waters.

That farm knife is super tempting, picked up a V.steleka Skrama a month ago, Farm Knife looks like one of those on steroids. Super, super tempting, but I've been itching for a Tamang for a year and a half now. Starting to get attached to the light colored wood handles, sure are pretty.

....let's keep H.I. in business so I can pick up a Farm blade down the road, eh?

That's a beautiful YCS Ndog. I think I saw a picture of yours and that sparked my craving for one!

Do you have a Gopte? It reminds me of the YCS but I certainly wouldn't mind using it!
 
Nope. No Ghopte. Thats a very nice knife George! It looks more like a Tin Chirra? The YCS has a more pronounced belly but it is pretty close.
