Just finished another HBS. This one has a 3 1/2" long full flat ground 5160 steel drop point blade and onec again the handle is made of imbuia root with a very interesting grain. It comes with a pouch style leather sheath.
The HBS are great all-around utility knives and are becoming very popular!

When you say full flat, do you mean there is no secondary bevel?

No, full flat means that the grind goes all the way to the top of the blade. If I made it this way with no secondary edge, we would have an edge wicked sharp but extremelly easy to break, similar to a razor.

I just wanted to let anyone who is thinking about getting one of Ivan's HBS knives know that you can not go wrong. They come very sharp and the Imbuia root handle is one of the most handsome I have ever seen. Somehow his sheath maker colors the leather in a manner that makes it look exactly like the handle, truely a beautiful match. The comfort of the handle is such that you could use this blade all day long and never tire of it.

To make it super light and confortable was my objective with these little knives and from all I have heard from its owner, I think I am fully reaching it.
After Blade I´ll be working on some more with different ahdnle materials and yes, they will be signed this time.
