Here are a few photo's of a match made in Heaven.

I have this awesome BRK&T Blackwater Boot Knife II that was made with some very nice Sambar Stag that I provided.

It came with a serviceable Bushcraft style sheath, but the knife sat fairly deep in it.

I often used the next sized smaller sheath to carry it, but the handle was quite exposed.

This is a knife that deserved a custom sheath.

Cut to the chase.

My hiking buddy Tony had this custom sheath made by Ilbuche (?) for one of his knives.

It is a sweet deerskin lined creation that I fell in love with.

Well Tony sold the knife and I got the sheath, it just happens to fits my BBK II like a glove.

Plus the sheath and knife complement each other.

Here are a few shots of the combo.

Thank you Tony for being a good friend, and giving a fine knife a good home.

He lined that with deerskin to add friction to the blade. That blade has no guard to get any 'grab' on it. This is a elegant solution to this problem. It is such a simple design - but hard to get to look that good!

What a nice touch and a nice, primitive / current combo. NICE!

Ilbuchre certainly does good work!

That is really classy looking. I love those tooled accent lines too. Just give it an elegant touch. Oh and that stag. Wow! I have a love hate thing with stag. There is a lot of it I just don't care much for, but your knife is the kind I love. Great stuff.

That sheath looks awesome in combination with that knife! That is awesome

Big Mike,

That is sweet! Ilbruche's leather work is special. Hold onto that piece, he is not currently doing any leatherwork... I've been trying to lure him back with the promise of money, loose cars and fast women (or is it fast cars and loose women?...). We are lucky that TF, Koyote girl and others are stepping up...Here are couple of other things he's done (old pic..):

The mouth is very beautiful and well constructed.
Very impressive sheath, as well as the blade itself.
Thank you for sharing.

Mike that sheath looks like it was made for that stag handled knife!

Enjoy buddy, its the least I can do considering all the sharpening and convexing of my knives you do.

Thanks buddy

BigMike, nice combo and you are right that is a very classy sheath to carry that BRKT in! Nice of Tony to spot that your way; I could see that sheath selling by itself on the Exchange with no problem!

MNeedham what's the last knife to the right in your Picture? Love the handle sticking out!

Oh, and anyone know, Big Mike?, why does BRKT put '12c27' on thier knives to designate the steel, but none of the others like A2, etc?
