I recognize quite a few of those stamps Eric. I note that you have the one for A.B. Hourin who was a production manager back in the late '40's-early '60's. That was used for a gold foil stamp on the cover of his notes which I have. Also, the American Eagle one was for the gold foil stamping on the leatherette box covers of that series of knives made for Sears. I'd love to have that one! :thumbup:
Here's a close example of the Snoboy award stamp. I say close because somewhere along the line they made the O bigger:

Notice the cutout in the left side, this was done so the dates could be changed without having to go through the expense of having a new stamp made every year. There are a huge assortment of both single letters and numbers that can be inserted into the slot. The ones you see in there now are just random examples.
Now here we have one of the stamp presses, not a beauty by any stretch of the imagination. I'd hazard a guess that there were a LOT of modifications done to this machine over the many decades it was in use
