Hello,

I have recently found about Busse Combat Knives. Man, is it hard to make sense of all of the models and where to get them. What is the general consensus on the more desirable knife with 6 to 8 inches blade (camp self defense). I do not like the ones currently selling on the site? I like the one offered on Ganza stiky but it is too big. Is it possible to order a shorter version?

It is hard for me to put a knife with the name but I am drown towards designs similar to the one on the picture.

Please post a picture with the name so it would be easy to identify the knife. Also, please spell out the abbreviations.

Thank you

Have you checked the Busse company store and looked at the SARGE7?

I sure did. Great knife but no skull crasher with two holes and that is the feature I would like to have on my first one.

2 holes at the skull crusher, sounds like a hell razor. 7" blade and a couple years out of production.

For starters... what is the name series of the knife on the picture? I got it off the net but have no idea what is that knife. There are lots of similar looking (same handle different blade shapes) knives as well.

I suggest you start with the busse collector site above. Then move on to the stickies in this forum, particularly the picture thread. When you got a list of ones you like, use the search in this forum for the best info on the net when it comes to Busse. If after that you got some questions, then ask away :D

Tim, Rock thanks for the advise. Dark that is an impressive collection

Well, everyone has different tastes. My first was a heavy heart fusion steel heart.(hhfsh)I love it.Bought another,a pretty common occurance.Keep an eye on the exchange, get an idea of what appeals to you and dive right in.

Some smaller 6"s. Skinny ASH1 on top, SJTAC Satin Jack TAC 3rd down with skull crusher and single hole. The Tank Buster has the same TAC handle with a 1/4" blade instead of 3/16 and had options of with or without skull crusher, choil, and swedge.

my favorites are the Ergos, but the SFNO, NMSFNO, Skinny ASH1, and HellRazor are all right up there with them. The SFNOs came full flat or Saber ground. The ASH1 had thicknesses of .1875, .22, and. 32, and I think all the hellrazors were the same grind on .1875 but the hell razors and SFNOs also had standard and magnum thickness handles. The ASH1s might have, but I only remember mags.

I should qualify, I've tried just about everything in that size range but the Fusion Steel Heart. I do like the fusion handles in the CG FBM and NMFBM though.

Darkaether, you have a very nice collection....that satin HR is grail perfect!!
