Hottest 6 to 8 inches Busse Combat Knife

appreciate all of the info and links gus still trying to go over all of those models and variants. The ones I like best are these and I am guessing they are FSH or SFN variants (right?)

So when I contact the Busse custom shop crew how should I describe that I want one like the knives above. normal handle (can I choose the handle material and texture type); grind type full height convex grind satin blade; thickness (or is it whatever is available at the moment); any other specs I should provide or are customizable?

First three are all Fusion Steel Hearts FSH. The last is a Nuclear Meltdown Special Forces Natural Outlaw. Subtly different blade shape, different handle. The NMSFNO is more recent, more common, and cost less than FSH, so it represents a better value for the same size knife. With some patience you should be able to score a NMSFNO off the Exchange here.

The Shop has been making occasional FSH for shows, so they might have some blade blanks. I think that most of them lately have been like this one here:

0.27" thick, with a sabre grind. These are hand shaped micarta scales, in contrast to the more common (and cheaper) machine cut scales you have pictured.

mmmmmmmmm .....now let me think.....

Andy I see you are a big fan of ASH You made me drool

Who made the sheath for your NMSFNO?
..... Yes I am :D The NMSFNO is also up there for me (as I stated) but the ASH is just *IT* to me... :D The sheath is from "Savage Made Sheaths Saxis Va". I got it off e-whore before I got a NMSFNO ... around $55 plus shipping as I recall, he still lists them up from time to time. It is a really well put together and functional sheath.... it is NOT is the same league as Chuddy Bear, Rainwalker etc (that I have sitting next to it right now) but 100% functional and also aesthetically pleasing .... hey....I just thought ....that last bit could also describe me.... ;) :D.

I'm torn.

I sold my HHFSH when I got my NMSFNO. IMO the NMSFNO is busse nirvana in the 8" range. I've not missed the HH. ;)

.

But the NMSFNO has a bit of competition now since the TGLB showed up... I find it to be it's equal, and that is one hell of a compliment!
