As most here are aware I/ We are trying to build a new house out here in no mans land.
It's nearly complete but the contractors have decided to move on to another job and leave us hanging. :thumbdn:
Got some finish work left to do but mostly done.
We are currently in the process of moving in and will have to finish it ourselves.
If any of you HOG's are handy with tools and looking for a getaway in Maine look me up.

piglet dave,

Hey, this house looks gorgeous!

Must be a lot of work and worries; but from the pictures, it looks very nice!!!

Dave, if TN and ME were a little closer, I'd be happy to give you a hand. Grew up in a family of builders, and I've done this work all my life. One of my favorite jobs was on a trim crew when I was a grad student in Charlottesville, VA. I learned a lot from those guys.

The house is looking great. Seems like you just need some countertops and trim from those two pictures. I can tell you though from experience that it's harder to work on a house when you live in it.

Sorry to hear that the contractors left you hanging. Be nice if you had some payment owed to hold over their heads.

wheres the pics of the infi vault?

I believe Mulder contracted with a local resident regarding INFI security. Here he is patrolling the perimeter.

Man that pic seems sooooo long ago.
You are right though, mostly trim work left inside.

Those cabinets handmade or stock? (If stock - WHAT ARE THEY? - need to fill my log cabin with something other than 15 yr old honey oak cabinets.)

That's a beauty, Dave! All the light colored wood looks nice.

Sorry to hear about the contractors, though. Good luck finishing it up.

Hey, I just noticed - there's no snow in Maine? I thought there was always snow in Maine. :D

Beautiful place. It will be worth all the hard work and expense. Happy holidays to you and yours. Pete

Dave, the place is looking great! I sure wish I was close, I'd give you a hand in a heartbeat. Trimwork and cabinetry has been how I've fed my family more than any other profession I've had.
I wish you the best, and please keep us posted.

BTW, Guyon is correct in regards to living in a home while trying to work on/ finish it. But knowing what you've acquired in INFI, I'm sure you have the stick-to to complete your house.

Great looking place! Good luck with the builder–I agree that it's much harder to finish when you're living there. I'd be living with plywood countertops and no doorknobs (or doors) for the next thirty years!

Dave,
Will work for SHBA'sssssss :p  Great looking place by the way

Your new place looks GREAT Dave!!!

It does suck that the contractors left you hangin...
but it doesn't look like they left you with too much to do.

Thanks for sharing the pics.
