Heres a couple of older 3 blade models that were from a Kutmaster salesman sample roll. The regular canoe is marked Miller Bros, the swell center surveyor is a Kutmaster.

Honest carry "patina", ebbtide! Etches are for safe queens!!

.. but hopefully interesting;
First is almost an anti-canoe; it's heavily built, in Sheffield with a thick hollow ground master, and two pen blades; sorta like a Battle canoe.

That is way-cool waynorth!. And that is a Wilkinson shield if my tired eyes don't deceive me and that is something you do not see every day..

"Battle Canoe", Perhaps you are right on the money with that term. All throughout my southern upbringing I have come to know that pattern as a "Gunship", that is any Canoe pattern being larger with three or more blades and additional back-spring. Although I have never confirmed it with documentation and don't know if there is such a pattern.. Now I am wondering what BRL has at as?.

I've heard them called that too, Sunny, so hopefully we're not both wrong. I'd really love to get hold of a good modern example with 1095/CV blades, since I love both stockmen and canoes.

Right now my EDC is a Queen that's exactly like Larry's, and I just got a pair of CV canoes from Vintage knives; I'm going to give one to my wife for Christmas and keep the other one back for a rainy day. :D

Well, I'm not getting on as much as I'd like as I'm having some electrical problems on my computer area.

Well, here's my simple trio of canoes.

Man, there are some beauties on this thread! Great to gaze upon.

As usual, you guys have busted out with some gorgeous specimens, not to mention photography.

I don't have too many canoes (though I don't think I can hold off the urge to pick up one of those Queens in 1095 much longer) but here's what I do have:

1. Case 1977 Blue Scroll. Pure display knife
2. Case 1998 green pocket worn
3. Case 1998 chestnut bone CV. Very well used as you can see.

Longbeachguy, I love your Canoes and that Blue Scroll brings back some old meaningful memories of one of my first real knife collecting adventures. At one time I had one of each pattern in either mint or near mint condition including the the fixed blades as well as doulbles of many patters that I purchased to slowly upgrade the condition of the entire collection. This was back in the days when my collecting frenzy was at a fever pitch..

Thanks for sharing these..

Here's another Queen City 1095 Canoe. I really like the bone on this one. Larry

That's another of Ken Daniels productions! He had them made by Queen in 1095, and they were a huge hit! Great bone handles, packaged in bulk to save costs, real working knives, but beautiful. I bought four of them at the Queen show, and have one in my EDC box. They make nice gifts.Exceptional bone on yours Larry!
I think Cosy Glen is the street he lives on! I wonder how his Great Eastern Cutlery project is going? Anyone heard?

.. I wonder how his Great Eastern Cutlery project is going? Anyone heard?

He and Bill Howard(Great Eastern Cutlery) are supposedly already up and running in Titusville and will soon start producing knives in 1095. Bill Horn says they are scheduled to start shipping out knives by years end. Bill will carry there knives on his Cumberland Knife Works web site and I for one am anxious to see there wares!

Those Queens are sweet! One of those with a few years of well earned patina on the blades and pocket polished bone should result in a classy vintage piece on down the road.

On that abalone, nothing simulated can match the real stuff, wow! Good imaging too. Really sets it and the pearl off.

I must be slippin'. I haven't posted anything in this thread up until now. 4 blade Fight'n Rooster.
