I love my ss crossbill and definitly getting a cara cara black but my first love is fixed blades. The main spyderco line has a few exellent fixed knives like the Kumo and the Hossoms so it would not be to much of a stretch to imagine a fixed byrd. A practical daily carry fixed like the temperance or one for serving military on a budget like a smaller Hossom maybe? Or something with a unmistakable spydy look like the Snody knives? Am I way off base or does amyone else think this would be a good idea?

Sal has mentioned a fixed-blade Byrd being in the works- I'm waiting (impatiently) for this to come out too. I haven't heard any specifics yet about what sort of fixed blade(s) they will be. My hope is for something along the lines of a G10 version of an Ayoob Razorback- if I had any say about it. Something simple-around 3.5"-4" with G10 scales and a nice Kydex sheath with Tek-lok. That would be the coolest! (No black blades please-oh-pretty please!)
