The two above examples are in her hands and she will give us an idea of cost.

She did say that it would be good to have your phone number and or web site info on the patch design - just her advice but of course it is up to you.

This. I'd also be less likely to wear a patch with phone number/website etc. Too blatant advertising for my tastes.

I am with you on that - it is just what the lady who makes the patches suggested - it is our (Stomper's) baby.

Stomper - the gal that does these is located in Utica Illinois - about half way between the two of us. :thumbup:

I was just in Utica a week ago! It`s on my way back from my rounds of antique stores when I come home Rte 6. Bought a bottle of wine in a shop in town there.

If you're looking at hats, you can get screenprinted ones made online at Vistaprint for (probably) less than embroidered ones. Just a thought

I talked with the gal in Utica - and she said that she did not have the fitting for her machine to do patches - but that she could do shirts and hats etc.

I asker her to go ahead and price us up based on her having to buy the fixture for doing the patch - so she is going to give us that.

I also called another place where I have done business here in central Illinois - they want me to print it out and also bring in a digital copy and he will do a "threadcount" and then he can price it up for us.

I will do that next week during the week after work. :thumbup::thumbup:

I talked to my friend again and she said that she could not match the prices in mtwarden's links - and she also said that she did not think she could make it worthwhile to buy the fixtures to make patches -

She is more into the hat and shirt making, and she said she could do that for us if we wanted - I am sure that would be priced competitively.

I just cannot see any small business being able to top the custompatches.net package.

She replied that she cannot even do hats lol - I thought she had a good setup, but now she is saying she has an old machine - but could do some shirts -

I will take the most recent logo to her and pay her to scan it and make a couple shirts - what size do you like in a polo shirt?
