Hello, I know this isn't a discussion forum, but I think it would be a great idea to include a permanent checklist for those involved in trade or sale, just so that all parties are clear as to what is being traded and what the mailing conditions are. I'm NOT saying that there should be house rules for shipping and stuff, but rather a list that has on it, for example, Check item, Check serrations or 1/2 serr. Check, new, or used, check sheath or no sheath, check insurance or no insurance, etc.

This has been discussed at great length in the past, and it isn't going to happen.

There are way too many variables for us to make rules about trading, buying, or selling, and we prefer to let the individuals involved work it out amongst themselves.

The key to any successful transaction via these forums, or any internet venue, is communication. Each involved party needs to be perfectly clear on their wishes involving shipping, packaging, ship date, ect.

Again, I cannot stress this enough: thorough communication is imperative to a successful buying, selling, or trading experience.

There is also a sticky at the top of this forum, where Spark has a detailed list for having a good buying, selling, or trading experience. I suggest you read it HERE.

I agree with Code. It's alot simpler for the two involved in a deal just to spell out exactly what the expectations are. If there is a clear and concise agreement by both parties , the deal *should* go smoothly.
