How about a picture contest??.

First let me apologize for not calling this contest back last weekend as intended, however circumstances beyond my control interfered with that..

Secondly, I am stunned by all the photo entries here with all your wonderful submissions. Y'all are the best!

My wife and I could not agree, however, my kids were pretty unanimous on the two the winners.. So the winners are:

(1) CUTS LIKE A KRIS

and

(2) Thawk

Congrats fellow's!!

Please forward your real name and address details to me via email so I can get your slippjoint pocket knives shipped out to you all!

Nice pics. Thanks to all for sharing and congratulations to the winners. Thawk, I'd be interested to know when your picture of the Grate Sand Dunes was shot? We were up there a couple of summers ago and it was HOT and dry but it looked like there was water not so long before we got there. That was ok though. We played at a waterfall just a few miles away instead.

Wow! Thanks Sunny D. I need your address too. My kids are sure a knife is coming in the direction of the firebug in your family. We are honored. Address coming via email.

Congrats Kris - We also think we would like to check out your hideout. I spent two separate weeks in Edmonton about 12 years ago. Working for Edtel. In January (real cold) and in May (pretty cold). Only time I have ever seen a baseball game in the snow. Beautiful City. Big Mall.

Texas Slim - The Sand Dunes picture was shot on Saturday August 11th, 2007. We wanted to check out that waterfall, but within about an hour of this picture, it was an all out thunderstorm.

Tell you what thawk- you make it here and we'll take you- provided when you get home you don't tell all of your friends where it is. It is really close to an urban center but still far enough away to make it seem secluded!

I still can't believe I won!!!

oops. Its already over. Congratulations!

(I suppose the world isn't quite ready for the art form that is KnifeHeadImagery) :)

I showed my kids before it was over. They were sure hoping. They all liked your knives and hatchet picture. My 11 year old said wow and touched the hatchet on the screen.

I'd love to get to Edmonton again, in the summer. That is a long plane ride. It would be quite a road trip in a car.

Ed T,

Great photograph!. Is that your daughter? Whoever she is she sure is a cutie-pie!

Thanks Kelly,

Its good to be back among the living.

CUTS LIKE A CRIS & Thawk,

Your knives go out this weekend. Details to follow when they are in route.

God Bless everyone,

><> ~ Anthony

Many thanks Anthony. Beautiful peanut. My kids are already proud of this award, and will be pumped up this afternoon when they see the knife. They've asked me every day, "Dad, do ya think we'll get that blue one?" I appreciate this very much.

Here's a pic, I thought this matchbook was an appropriate compliment for the pose.

Great contest SunnyD! It's not my first peanut, but it is my first Case.

Thawk,

Wow, super picture of the Peanut!. And yes, very appropriate matchbook prop as well..:) I sure am glad this worked out the way it did. You and your kids were wishing for the Case Peanut and Cuts Like A Kris was hoping for the Case Baby Butterbean, and low and behold that is exactly how the chips fell. I sure hope your kids liked the Peanut. Please let them know it was donated by my kids from their old collection. My son and daughter were very pleased it went to some other children about they're age across the country to you all.

Cuts Like A Kris,

Heads up your Baby Butterbean should be landing on your doorstep real soon as well.

Thanks,
Anthony

Hey there Kris,

I am so please you received the knife in good stead and you like it, but HOLY MOLY, 14 days from Florida to Canada, that's got to be about the slowest postal run on record. What the heck were they doing with that thing for so long. I sent a knife to the UK and another to France on the very same same day as yours, all three 1st class in the same boxes. The UK took 7 days, France took 8..

Oh well, glad you like her like I said, and I hope she serves you well.

Take Care & God Bless,
Anthony

Wow!! I knew things were bad but..... Heck it has taken close to a month for some US/Canada shipments I have been part of lately! Maybe I should start driving things down??
